Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal data — in plain English.

Last updated May 1, 2026

We believe a privacy policy should be readable by humans, not just lawyers. Here is exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

01

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how AUTONOMATION LTD (“Autonomation”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit autonomation.ai or get in touch with us. We aim to keep this short, plain‑English and aligned with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We are a UK‑registered company at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For any privacy question, email us at privacy@autonomation.ai — a real person will reply.

02

What we collect

We only collect what we need to operate the website and respond to you. In practice, that falls into three small buckets:

Information you give us
When you submit our contact or waitlist forms, we receive your name, email address, and the message you write. Nothing more, nothing less.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers log basic technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and timestamps — so we can keep the site secure, debug issues and understand which content is useful.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies. The full list and how to control them is in the “Cookies” section below.

We don’t run user accounts, sell products through this website, or knowingly collect special category data (e.g. health, biometric or political data).

03

How we use your information

We process your personal data only when we have a lawful basis to do so. The table below summarises why and on what basis:

PurposeLawful basis
Reply to your enquiry or waitlist signupYour consent and our legitimate interest in running our business
Operate, secure and improve the websiteOur legitimate interest in providing a reliable service
Measure aggregated traffic and content performanceYour consent (via the cookie banner)
Comply with legal, tax and accounting obligationsCompliance with a legal obligation

We will never sell your personal data, and we don’t use it to make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you.

04

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your device. We group them into three categories you can control through the cookie banner at any time:

Necessary
Required for the site to load and remember your cookie preferences. These can’t be turned off.
Statistics
Set only with your consent. Help us understand which pages are read so we can improve them.
Marketing
Set only with your consent. Help us measure the impact of our campaigns. We currently use Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_#, _gcl_au).

You can change your choices at any time — open the cookie preferences from the banner, or clear cookies in your browser settings.

05

Who we share with

We keep our supplier list short. We only share personal data with trusted service providers that help us run the website and respond to you:

  • Hosting and content delivery providers that operate our infrastructure.
  • Email and helpdesk providers we use to read and reply to your messages.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics) when you have consented to statistics or marketing cookies.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and regulators when we are legally required to.

Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use your data on our instructions.

06

How long we keep it

We don’t keep personal data for longer than we need it. As a general rule:

  • Contact and waitlist messages: up to 24 months after our last meaningful interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Server and security logs: typically 30–90 days.
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics, in aggregated form.
  • Records we are legally required to retain (e.g. tax records): for the period required by law.
07

International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK or the European Economic Area. When that happens, we rely on safeguards approved under UK GDPR — typically the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision — so that your data continues to be protected.

08

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have a number of rights over your personal data. You can exercise any of these by emailing privacy@autonomation.ai. We’ll respond within one month.

Access
Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification
Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erasure
Ask us to delete your personal data when we no longer need it.
Restriction
Ask us to pause processing while a question is being resolved.
Portability
Receive the data you provided in a portable, machine‑readable format.
Objection
Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent
Withdraw any consent you previously gave — including for cookies — at any time.

If you feel we haven’t handled your data properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

09

Security

We protect personal data with industry‑standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, least‑privilege permissions, regular dependency updates and vetted suppliers. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your data with the same care we’d expect for our own.

10

Children

Our website is intended for a professional, adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and, if the change is significant, give you a clear heads‑up on the website or by email.
